The wonders of gmail. Isn’t it amazing?
I recently got an invite from a friend to get a gmail account, which appears to be the only way of getting this service.
Google have been very very clever in developing this service:
Firstly, people can only obtain a gmail account by being invited to by others who already have an account. This ensures a limited number of users, and it makes me feel like part of an exclusive club, the club with unlimited possibilities.
Secondly, gmail accounts have a seemingly unlimited memory storage space, as it has ever increasing memory building up for it’s users. This means you’ll theoretically find it very hardto run out of space, no matter how many e-mails you recieve more space will be available within a few minutes.
Thirdly, a new storage system labelled ‘arciving’ means ‘never having to delete an e-mail ever again’, archiving an email means being able to search for it with key words or title references. Aswell as saving single e-mails to ‘archiving’, whole conversations can be saved, gmail will recognise when you and a friend are replying to each others emails, and save them as once conversation when you move them to ‘archiving’.
Aswell as many many other features. I am thouroughly impressed with google this week.
